“With that quick finish, I was able to put every fighter in there on notice that I’m a serious veteran, and these guys aren’t on my level,” says Holobaugh, who climbed to 18-7 with the KO victory over Joziro Boye and advanced to the XFC Lightweight Championship Quarterfinals.
“I’m the veteran. I’m the big dog in this tournament.”
Needless to say, the Louisiana fighter’s confidence is at an all-time high heading into his quarterfinal matchup with Canadian “Handsome” Scott Hudson, who improved to 12-5-1 with his XFC 43 win over D’Juan Owens.
“I don’t think these guys are on my level — I really don’t. If you look at the level of opponent that these guys have fought, it’s nowhere near the level of competition that I’ve fought,” a fired-up Holobaugh says.
“I just can’t wait to get back out there.”
